Cookies Inspired by TV Shows, Part 2: Criminal Minds! I had never seen Criminal Minds before making these cookies, but after watching a couple episodes, I knew exactly what to do for these cookies — cereal killer cookies!

At some point last year, pancake cereal was trending on social media. Instead of pancakes, I decided to do cookies. Cereal killer cookies! For this recipe, you bake a lot of really small cookies and pour them in a bowl. Then, you pour on milk with a couple drops of red food coloring for “blood milk”! The blood milk is very extra, but honestly the whole thing is extra. Extra, but worth it!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Combine the butter and both sugars in a bowl. Mix until smooth. Add the egg and vanilla and mix until combined. Add the flour, salt, and baking soda and mix until just combined.
  2. Take a small piece of dough and roll it into your hands to make a ball. Continue with all the dough. Once you’ve filled a baking sheet, put them in the oven and bake for 9-12 minutes, until golden brown. Let the lil cookies cool for 10 minutes, then pour them into a bowl.
  3. To make the blood milk, add a couple drops of red food coloring to a cup of milk and stir it in. Pour over the cookies and enjoy!!
