wandavision red velvet cookies

last updated on October 29, 2026

Continuing my series, Cookies Inspired by TV Shows and Movies, I present Wandavision red velvet cookies! Wandavision was such an incredible show, so I just had to make these cookies! And the are YUM.

These are stuffed red velvet cookies and are soft and covered in cream cheese frosting! Obviously, the red color is for Wanda — she is always wearing red. However, these cookies are stuffed with Nutella, because we can’t really tell what is going on in Wanda’s mind. It is hard to tell if she is good or bad. So, these cookies are stuffed with mysterious Nutella!

If you don’t like Nutella or do not want to add it, just leave it out! These cookies will taste great without it. But, if you are using Nutella, before you start to make the cookie dough, scoop out small dollops of Nutella on to a plate lined with parchment paper and stick them in the freezer. They are MUCH easier to add to the dough when frozen!

Also, if you do not have red food coloring, that can be left out as well! The cookies will not have the red velvet look, but they will taste the same.

Ingredients

red velvet cookies

  • 1 cup Nutella
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp red food coloring
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt

cream cheese frosting

  • 8 oz cream cheese at room temp
  • 1/2 cup butter at room temp
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Scoop 1 tbsp sized balls of Nutella onto a plate lined with parchment paper. Put in the freezer and let chill / harden while you make the dough.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Cream together butter, brown sugar, and white sugar for 2 minutes. Add eggs, vanilla, and red food coloring and mix again.
  3. Add flour, cocoa powder, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Mix until combined. The dough should be soft, but not too sticky.
  4. Take the Nutella out of the freezer. Using a large cookie scoop, fill the scoop most of the way, then press a large hole in the center with your fingers. Fill the hole with a chilled chunk of Nutella, then close the dough around the Nutella.
  5. Put up to six dough balls on a cookie sheet at bake at 400 degrees for 9-11 minutes.
  6. While the cookies are cooling, make the frosting. Combine the cream cheese and butter in a bowl and mix for 2-3 minutes. Add vanilla and powdered sugar and mix for an additional 2-3 minutes. Add frosting to a piping bag.
  7. Once cookies are completely cooled, pipe on frosting and enjoy!!
