This spicy tuna bowl takes 15 minutes to make and is the perfect weeknight meal. Or lunch! It’s got rice, cucumbers, avocado, spicy tuna, ginger, chili crunch, and seaweed. It’s packed with flavor and will be your new fav.
There are few things more frustrating when you see a recipe that says it takes 15 minutes, but it actually takes 30 minutes from beginning to end. I wanted to prove that this recipe actually takes 15 minutes, so I set a timer, then filmed and plated this entire bowl in 14 mintues and 49 seconds. If I can film and assemble this bowl in under 15 minutes, I have so much confidence that you can make it in 15 min!
There are a few keys to making this recipe so speedy. First we are using either pre-cooked white rice, or microwavable white rice. This really cuts the time down! Obviously, you can cook white rice from scratch, but then it won’t be under 15 minutes. My favorite microwave white rice is this Bibigo kind I buy at Costco.
The next key is using canned tuna or salmon. Proteins are usually a time-consuming part of every meal, but using canned tuna makes this bowl speedy speedy. And adding mayo and sriracha really kick up the flavor!

Hey, I’m not a fan of mayo – could I sub this for greek yoghurt?
totally! a thick plain greek yogurt will work great.
