parmesan shirred eggs

These parmesan shirred eggs are so simple to make but are such a delicious egg dish. Shirred eggs are made by adding heavy cream and eggs to a ramekin, then baking until the egg whites are set. Plus I add lots of parmesan and top with chives for extra yummy flavor! This recipe is part of my “perfect brunch” and is an important savory element.

ingredients needed for parmesan shirred eggs

  • 1 tsp olive oil or butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp parmesan, grated
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tsp chives, chopped
  • bread, for serving

  3. Crack two eggs into each ramekin.
  4. Pour 2 tbsp of heavy cream into each ramekin.
  5. Top each with 1 tbsp of parmesan, salt, and pepper.
